The Shahi Masjid is a large two-storied structure built of finely carved grey granite, with three large domes and several smaller domes roofing the structure. The structure is adorned with intricate carvings, giving it an elegant and serene look. At the entrance of the building is a grandiose gateway which leads into the main prayer hall, which encompasses the entire first floor. The second floor houses a large library and a mezzanine which is used as a community hall for gatherings. The mosque also features an impressive façade of candy-striped minarets, a single entrance, three large domes, and various decorative arches. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
