Overview:
ar-ki-Masjid is a mosque located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is also known as Jhulta Minara. The mosque was built by Ahmed Shah in the late 15th century. The mosque stands on an elevated platform and has two domes and one minaret that is carved in red sandstone and white marble. Additionally, the main entrance of the mosque is painted in blue. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The prominent feature of Ek-Minar-ki-Masjid is its two minars which are constructed from red sandstone and white marble shaped in a pyramidal structure. This minar is divided into three sections and each is finely carved with intricate motifs and patterns. The two gates of the mosque too are expertly carved and adorned with floral patterns. The mosque also has two octagonal domes which are built from white marble. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
