This monument was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in memory of Old Thana Jaito, who was the chief of the village of Faridkot during the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

Old Thana Jaito monument is an impressive structure with a combination of Hindu and Islamic architecture. The monument is a three-storied building made of white stone and red stone.
