Overview:
Mukhalingesvara temple is an ancient Hindu temple situated in Mukhalingam town of the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. It is believed to be built by the Emperor Raja Raja I of the Chola dynasty between 10th and 11th centuries CE. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Mukhalingesvara) and includes a main sanctum and multiple sub-shrines. The most prominent features of the Mukhalingesvara temple are its intricate carvings, sculptures, and architecture. There are four entrances on the east, south, west, and north sides of the temple.
