Burud kot Mardes is a small mound located in India. It is believed to have been constructed in the 15th century by Raja Nir Singh of Mandhata. The mound is approximately 8 meters high and consists of a flat-topped platform with a flight of stairs leading up to the top. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Burud kot Mardes is known for its peculiar structure which is believed to have been used for religious rituals and for practical purposes such as viewing the surrounding landscape. The steps lead up to the large flat terrace where one can see a large Shiva Linga. It is believed that during the ancient times, a temple was built on this mound.
