Overview:
Mosque Bhagat Sadna Kasai, Sirhind is an old mosque in Sirhind (in Fatehgarh Sahib district in Punjab state). The mosque was built by the Sufi saint Bhagat Sadna Kasai in 1645 CE, in memory of the Sufi saint Shaikh Sakhi Sultan Noor-ud-din Wali. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Mosque Bhagat Sadna Kasai, Sirhind is a one-storey structure with a central dome in the middle. The mosque is built of sandstone and the exterior is decorated with elaborate designs in Mughal architectural style. The entrance to the mosque is through a double-height gateway and a large courtyard is present in front of the main prayer hall.
