Kamani Masjid is a mosque located in the village of Kamani, in the province of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is believed to have been constructed in the early 16th century, during the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar, who was the first Muslim ruler of the South Asian subcontinent. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Kamani Masjid is a three-storied, rectangular structure accessed through a single arched entrance. Its most prominent feature is a large, octagonal dome and a large prayer hall. The walls of the building are made of local river stones, while the upper part of the building is constructed of wood, mud, and earth.
