Jama Masjid, Berhampur was established in 1783 AD by Nawab Syed Khudiram of Berhampur. Located in State Street, the 300 year-old mosque is the main place of worship for Muslims living in and around Berhampur. The mosque was the first to be built during the reign of Syed Khudiram and is considered to be a symbol of his love and reverence for Islam. Today, the mosque stands tall, representing the rich cultural legacy of Berhampur. The unique architectural style of the mosque, with its huge domes, minarets, and colorful gates, stands out among the other buildings in the city. Built with red bricks and pink mortar, the mosque is constructed along traditional lines, with a central dome and four smaller domes on the corners.
