ir’s Gateway: Jahangir’s Gateway is a great tourist attraction located in the fort of Agra. It was built by the great Mughal Emperor Jahangir, who was the fourth emperor to rule the Mughal Empire. It was constructed as a symbol of his love for his beloved late wife, Nur Jahan. Jahangir’s Gateway is an ornate sandstone structure at the entrance of the Agra fort that commemorates the great emperor's victory over the Rajput king of Khandela and celebrates the end of his 16-year reign. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

History:

The grand and majestic gateway's principal feature is its ornamental Ashokan-style pavilion and four minarets. Other features of the gate include geometrical patterns and carvings that depict both religious and secular life. A giant statue of Jahangir is also present at the top of the pavilion, surrounded by four turrets. Its front facade is made up of numerous ornamented arches and panels.
