Barua Sagar Fort is an ancient fort located in Barua Sagar in the district of Shivpuri in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated on the banks of a lake, and rises to heights of over 20 feet. It is part of the Gwalior Fort complex. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Barua Sagar Fort was made by a lake and is surrounded on all sides by towering walls, making it an impenetrable fortress during wars. The fort is home to various monuments, temples, step wells and other structures. It also has two gates, the Khanderao Gate and the Jhau Gate, which are inscribed with various religious symbols.
