Overview:
Hori ki Marhia Group of Temples is a group of 12 Jain temples located in the village of Jhaun, Rajasthan. The temple complex is situated on the banks of the Banas River and said to were built in the 8th century. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temples were built in the classical style of architecture, each one having its own unique features. The complex includes a main temple dedicated to Lord Adinath, seven small shrines, and four other temples which are intricately carved and beautifully decorated. The temples are known for their emphasis on symmetry and structured architectural design.The main temple here features intricately carved pillars which were believed to have been built by Jain monks during the 10th century.
