The mosque was built by Sayyed Sonaullah Badesha in the mid-eighteenth century. According to local lore, it was founded after Sayyed Sonaullah received a divine revelation from the Almighty. The mosque features a central dome, four minarets, entrance arches, and carved cusped arches. Inside, the mosque contains a large prayer hall with two balconies, as well as two small domes on the roof of the prayer hall. The mosque is built from white and yellow sandstone, and is decorated with beautiful wall carvings.
