Overview:
Ghrushneshwar Temple, also known as the Ghantia Temple, is an important temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Shiva. Located in the Ellora Caves in Maharashtra, India, it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and believed to be the last of the twelve. It is one of the major attractions at the Ellora Caves and an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temple is a relatively small structure with a simple but elegant design. It has a sanctum, an ardhamandapa and a mahamandapa for worship. The walls of the temples are decorated with beautiful carvings of various Hindu gods, goddesses and other religious figures. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour

The Ghantia Temple was built by the 60th king of the Rashtrakuta Dynasty, Indian King Krishna I. The temples walls are adorned with amazing carvings, including a beautiful image of Nandi, the bull that serves as Lord Shiva's mount.
