Overview:
a in Front of the Kotakeri Jaina Basti is a unique architectural feature placed in front of the entrance of the Kotakeri Jaina Basti, a Jain temple complex in Mandya district of Karnataka. This stambha is made of polished blackstone and is believed to be about 500 years old. The basti is also known for its two other stambhas, placed in front of the thirthankara sculptures inside the temple premises. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Stambha in front of the Kotakeri Jaina Basti stands tall at approximately 11 feet and is intricately carved with etchings of flowers and leaves. The entire stambha has been carved out of one huge stone pillar. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
