Gateways of Badli-Ki-Sarai is an ancient fort situated near Delhi. It was built in the 16th century and served as one of the most crucial points in Mughal military strategy. It was also a key camp of the Mughal army during the Second Battle of Panipat in 1556. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most prominent feature of the fort is the grand entrance and gateways. It is made with red sandstone and is adorned with intricate Islamic and Indian motifs. The main gate is flanked by two smaller gates and has been recognized as a grade I structure by the Archaeological Survey of India.
