Brief History:
is a famous sufi shrine situated in the town of Pakpattan in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is dedicated to the venerated Sufi Saint Baba Fariduddin Ganj-e-Shakar (1173 - 1266 CE). Baba Farid was a great Sufi Saint who was known for his piety and compassionate love for humanity. He travelled extensively in the subcontinent and even further to spread the message and teachings of Islam and Sufism. Each year, thousands of devotees from across the world visit the Dargah and pay their respects to the departed soul of Baba Fariduddin Ganj-e-Shakar. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Dargah Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar is located in Pakpattan, a town in Punjab. The complex contains a mosque, along with the main shrine of Fariduddin Ganj Shakar, built upon a raised platform. The complex is entered through two ornately decorated gateways. within, the complex consists of three courtyards: a burial ground and two courtyards with domed pavilions and arcades. The main shrine is constructed from white marble and is elaborately carved and decorated. At the center of the eastern courtyard is a large marble dome, behind which is the inner sanctum containing the grave of the saint. The domes of the other two pavilions are more modestly decorated. The complex also contains other buildings, including several gates, a storage facility, a mosque, and an assembly house. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The closest airport to Pakpattan is the nearby Faisalabad International Airport, approximately 82 kilometres (51 miles) away. If travelling by bus, the nearest bus terminus is Pakpattan city bus terminus, which is located just 8 kilometres (5 miles) outside of the city centre.
