Chandar Marghar is a historical temple in India, located in the state of Rajasthan. It is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in the country, visited by millions of devotees every year. Built in honour of the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu, Chandar Marghar is considered to be extremely sacred. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Chandar Marghar’s most prominent feature is its grand entrance, known to be one of the biggest and most exquisitely carved doorways in India. The entrance is adorned with sculptures of gods and goddesses, and features two 7-foot tall statues protective deities of the Hindu faith.
