,The Anglo Sikh War Memorial is located near the village of Aliwal in Punjab, India. The memorial was built to commemorate the Battle of Aliwal which was fought in 1846 between the Sikh Empire and the British Empire. The memorial was unveiled by the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964. The memorial is made up of two parts, a statue of the Maharaja Duleep Singh and an obelisk that bears a plaque commemorating the soldiers who fought in the battle.
