Overview:
Juma Masjid is the largest mosque in India and one of the most iconic religious monuments in the country. Located in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, it was built in 1423 CE by Sultan Ahmed Shah, and is known for its beautiful architecture, intricate carvings and detailed decorations.The mosque is divided into seven aisles, each with a large dome, flanked by two minarets. The interiors are covered in intricate patterns and motifs, and the grand courtyard offers a stunning view of the city skyline. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The main feature of the Juma Masjid is its distinctive architecture, which was inspired by Arab and Mughal designs. The mosque features beautiful sandstone carvings and is covered by three large domes, which are surrounded by eight smaller domes and two tall minarets.
