It is located in the town of Waiyavi in the Ba Province in Fiji. The church was founded in 1961 and has served its members with weekly services and activities since then. The church is part of the Church of Seventh-day Adventist, a Christian denomination with an emphasis on scripture, health and wholeness, Unity in Diversity, Proclaiming the Restored Gospel, and Doing Mission and Service. History:

Waiyavi Seventh-day Adventist Church first began in the early 1960's when the members of the Meisake clan relocated from the nearby town of Nasia, Fiji. In 1961, the local Seventh-day Adventist Church organized a branch of the church in Waiyavi and began holding services in the homes of congregants. The church was officially dedicated in 1976 and construction of the church's building began in 1978. For the next 18 years, the church flourished and produced devoted members who have served the church faithfully through the years. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Fiji.
