Zion Church in Fiji is one of the largest Pentecostal Churches in the South Pacific region. Founded in 1939 by two missionary families, the church started as a small congregation in a rural village in the north-western part of the main island, Viti Levu. It grew over the years to become a mainstay of the local Pentecostal movement and was later incorporated in 1970. The church has since experienced many periods of growth and expansion.

The Zion Bible Church was founded in 1939 by two missionary families, the Hatfields and the Browns. Today the church has several congregations in the country of Fiji, including those in Nadi, Lautoka, Suva and Ba. The church’s first pastor was Reverend CJ Hatfield, and he was succeeded in 1945 by Reverend John Milton Brown. In 1955, Zion Church started a weekly radio broadcast, which has since flourished and has gone on to become the longest running Christian radio in the South Pacific. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Fiji.
