The Jesus Resurrection Cathedral in Estonia is the largest Orthodox church in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It is a neo-Byzantine style church that stands out with its expansive decorative dome and distinctive two-tone color scheme. The church dates back to the late 19th century, when Russian-born philanthropist, Otto von Bise, commissioned the construction. The church was completed in 1901 and consecrated in 1912. History:

The first stone of the church was laid on August 28, 1888, and the cornerstone was laid on the same day. Building works, which were based on designs by August Kitzberg, were completed in 1901. In 1911, a large bell tower was added to the church by Woldemar Vaut. The church underwent a major renovation and restoration in the late 1990s. On January 1, 2000, it was re-opened to the faithful who can now enjoy its collections of gold, silver and other religious artifacts. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Estonia.
