The Cathedral of the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary is a tourist attraction located in Plock, Poland. It was built in the 12th century and is one of the oldest churches in the country. The Cathedral has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It has many unique features, including twin towers, a baroque facade and a 13th-century wall painting. Inside the church, visitors can admire a Baroque altar, which was sculpted in 1755, and the lifesize statue of St. Peter. The Cathedral also houses an organ from 1693, as well as works of art from various eras. Visitors can even take a tour of the crypt, which contains the remains of bishops and other dignitaries. The Cathedral offers regular masses and several special occasions throughout the year, including processions to celebrate the feast of the Assumption and the patron Saint of the Church.
