History:

St. Michael's Church was founded in 1845 as a mission chapel to serve workers in the brickfields around Friar’s Bridge. It was the first Anglican Morning Service Church in Chelsea, the design of this being a continuation of the pioneer evangelical churches of the early 19th century. The first vicar of St. Michael’s Church was Rev. C.W. Perceval, who later went on to become Bishop of Hereford. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Croatia.
