It is the highest peak of the coastal Cordillera de la Costa mountain range. 3. The mountain is composed of sedimentary rock such as sandstone and limestone. 4. Pan de Azúcar National Park is named after the mountain and other peaks in the region, and covers an area of over 122,000 hectares, making it one of the largest national parks in Chile. 5.
