History:

The worshipping method of Tashichho Dzong is based on Vajrayana Buddhism. During the day, the monastery holds numerous Buddhist rituals and religious activities. During festival times, such as Losar, new festivals or special days for national holidays, there are special Pang Wang ceremonies and religious dances that take place. Additionally, there are daily prayers and religious services. During these services, lamas make offerings of butter lamps and offer prayers in order to help appease and heal the suffering caused by negative karma. During these ceremonies monks chant mantras and make offerings of incense.
