The worship method of the Kurjey Lhakhang monastery is conducted in a very traditional manner. The monastery is located in the Bumthang Valley of Bhutan and it is home to many lamas and monks who practice Tibetan Buddhism. The morning and evening prayers at Kurjey Lhakhang typically consist of chanting mantras, accompanied by cymbals and other instruments. During religious ceremonies, drums and horns may also be used. Offerings of fruits, flowers, and incense are presented to the images of Buddhas or deities. A torchlight procession often takes place during special occasions, and butter lamps may be lit in the main hall. Other rituals that take place at the monastery include puja ceremonies, Buddhist teachings, and meditations.
