Zaslavl Regoinal Landscape Park is a park located in the central part of Belarus, in the Palessye region. Founded in 2006 to protect the region’s rich natural, cultural and recreational heritage, the park covers an area of 70,000 hectares. It features more than 300 species of birds, 15 different mammal species and a variety of plant life, forming a unique composition of natural habitats, as well as a vast number of historical and cultural monuments. The park is the home to two of the ancient Belarussian cities – Zaslavl and Zhabinka, each featuring unique historical monuments. History:

The Zaslavl Regional Landscape Park is located in the Minsk region of Belarus, near the town of Zaslavl. It was created in 2011, when the local government and the Minsk Ministry of Nature Protection declared the Zaslavl State Reserve null and void and subsequently established the new protected area. The park covers an area of 166.5 square miles and includes the ecologically valuable areas of Zaslavl Lake and its surroundings. The lake itself is an ancient glacial lake, with remains from pre-historic settlement sites on its shores.
