Tserkov' Yekhb "Preobrazheniye" In Belarus: History,Facts, & Services

Tserkov' Yekhb "Preobrazheniye" is a Russian Orthodox Church located in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. Founded in 1666, the church was one of the first churches in the city, and is considered one of the oldest churches in the city. Built in traditional Russian architectural style, the church features gilded onion domes and a multicolored main facade, decorated with biblical motifs. The church remains an important part of the religious and cultural life of modern St. Petersburg, and is home to several weekly services, including services for Divine Liturgy and Vespers, as well as special services for holidays and national feast days. There is also an active parish school, and the church has an active music program, with a full choir led by the organist. The church also offers weekday and evening services, bible study classes and a variety of Christian education programs.
