It opened in 2006 and has a capacity of up to 9,000 people. It has hosted many high-profile events such as the FIVB Volleyball World League Final Six, the 2009 EuroBasket, the 2012 European Amateur Boxing Championships, and the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships. The venue also plays hosts to the annual Belarus Open national basketball championship.
