Kostol Vozneseniya Presvyatoy Devy Marii is a 15th century Russian Orthodox church located in Staraya Rusa, Novgorod Oblast, Russia. It is one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the region and is known for its impressive architectural design. Its name, which translates to "Ascension of the Most Holy Lady Mary," refers to the Church’s dedication to the virgin Mary, mother of Jesus. The Church has been restored multiple times over the centuries, but has managed to retain many of its characteristic features, such as its tall bell tower and distinctive onion-shaped domes. Many of its interior frescoes and paintings date back to the 15th or 16th centuries. Today, Kostol Vozneseniya Presvyatoy Devy Marii continues to be an active place of worship and hosts a number of services and events throughout the year.
