Gall Hill Christian Mission Church In Barbados: History,Facts, & Services

Gall Hill Christian Mission Church in Barbados is an independent, nondenominational church affiliated with the Caribbean Church Council. The church was founded in 1971 when congregants from the Mount Sinai Church joined together to form a new congregation dedicated to reaching the spiritually and economically disadvantaged of the parish of St. Philip. The church seeks to serve the reamining rural communities of St. Philip through its bible-based, non-denominational Christian ministry. History - The church was founded in 1971 with 19 members and the first building, constructed in 1976, could accommodate 250 worshippers. This was expanded in 1982 with additional seating for an additional 100, a baptistry and an upgraded audio-visual system. In 1996, a second church, the All Saints Branch Church, was opened in the Gall Hill nursery. This church has seating for an additional 100 worshippers. Facts - The Gall Hill Christian Mission Church has three branches throughout Barbados. The original church building continues to be the administrative and worship center for the mission church and accommodates 300 worshippers. The parish includes a wide variety of activities for adults, including bible study, Sunday school and Ministry of Daughters. Services - Gall Hill provides a variety of services for the economically and spiritually disadvantaged of the parish. Sunday School is offered for children and adults. Bereavement counseling is also provided, as well as prayer meetings, evangelistic meetings and social events such as music groups and arts and crafts classes. The church also hosts special events, such as a Men’s Retreat and a Women’s Retreat. In addition to regular services, they host mission trips to less fortunate countries through the Runaway Bay Institute.
