The Barbados Bridgetown Mission was established by Church President Spencer W. Kimball and recently dedicated by Church President Gordon B. Hinckley in 2010. This mission is part of the Caribbean Area, which the Church has had a presence in since 1979. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Barbados.

Barbados Bridgetown Mission covers the island of Barbados as well as other areas of the Caribbean Sea. There are currently more than 12,000 members in Barbados, and over 20,000 members in the Caribbean Area. Barbados has four missions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The mission provides various services to help members of the LDS church in Barbados and the Caribbean.
