Brief History:
is the oldest mosque in Sirajganj district and believed to be built by Sultan Alauddin Husain Shah, a famous ruler of Bengal in the 15th century. The mosque is situated in Raiganj, not far from the old city of Sirajganj. It is an important religious landmark in the region and has great socio-cultural significance. The mosque has four domes and a large central courtyard, which is surrounded by four minarets. The exterior of the mosque is adorned with fine stone carvings and intricate patterns. The interior of the mosque is adorned with beautiful mural paintings depicting Islamic motifs and floral designs. The mosque also contains a few ancient Bengali inscriptions. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bangladesh which you must visit.

The Raiganj Jame Mosque is a two-story mosque in the small city of Sirajganj, Bangladesh. The mosque was built in the 18th century and is believed to have been built during the reign of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The mosque features an elaborate and ornate interior, as well as an impressive exterior featuring a large arched gateway that frames the entrance. The mosque is constructed in an Indo-Saracenic style, with the use of domed roofs and Islamic symbols. Inside the mosque are several domes and the central prayer hall is covered by two large domes supported by twelve semi-circular arches. There is also a large courtyard for worshippers. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Raiganj Jame Mosque is easily accessible by bus or car from Dhaka. From the Dhaka Airport, get on any bus going towards Sirajganj. Get off at Sirajganj bus stand and take a CNG to reach the Mosque. The total journey time is around 4 hours. Raiganj Jame Mosque is open throughout the day and there is no entry fee. There is ample space on the premises for visitors to sit and relax.
