The Phulbari Jame Mosque architecture is based on traditional Islamic design principles, yet is highly distinctive. The main facade is divided in a upper and lower part by a large decorative frame. The mosque has four octagonal minarets on the corners, each one topped with three cupolas. The entrance consists of three central doors flanked by pairs of single arches. The walls of the mosque are decorated with panels of glazed brick and terra-cotta. The interior of the mosque is covered with intricate designs in stucco, and is lit by five large chandeliers in the middle. The prayer hall is slightly raised and is accessible through a flight of stairs. The roof is supported by 24 columns and a number of beams.
