The Daudkandi Jame Mosque is a 13th century mosque located in the Comilla district of Bangladesh. It is a single domed mosque made of brick, with a three-storeyed rectangular shaped prayer hall. The mosque is noted for its ornamental terracotta decorations. The mosque has a single overhanging roof with seven decorated mihrabs to indicate the qibla, or the direction of prayer. There is a small platform around the central prayer hall, with staircases leading to the entrance of the prayer hall on two sides. The mosque is built with three entrances from the east side. The facade of each entrance is decorated with terracotta curved floral and geometrical patterns, including foliage, rosettes and geometric patterns, as well as calligraphic inscriptions. The western and southern walls of the mosque also have terracotta plaques. There are also seven decorated pointed arches and niches on the facade. Inside the prayer hall is a single, large domed chamber with an attached small room, located between the northern and eastern walls. The building materials of the mosque are mainly red bricks and stone, with terracotta brick used in the decorations. The entire mosque is covered with limestone plaster on both the inside and the outside. It measures approximately 22 meters in width and 21 meters in length.
