The ground floor of the mosque consists of an open prayer hall, ablution area and toilet for the worshippers. The mosque entrance opens into the open courtyard where there is a single minaret at the centre. The upper floors of the mosque contain a spacious teaching hall, a library, and a hostel for students and teachers. The mosque is surrounded by a wall that is five feet high and is plastered with lime and mortar. The roof of the mosque is made of terra cotta tiles and topped off with 3 top domes in a typical Islamic architectural style. The walls of the mosque are decorated with intricate Islamic designs and texts. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
