Brief History:
Madaripur Central Jame Mosque is an old mosque located in the city of Madaripur in Bangladesh. It is said to have been built during Emperor Aurangzeb's reign (1658-1707). The main structure, which has a single large dome, a large chamber and three minarets, is built on a 12.1m high platform. The structure is made of brick and lime mortar and is adorned with terracotta tiles. The overall plan of the mosque is of simple design but the artistry in the terracotta work is exquisite.
