. Ishwardi Jame Mosque, located in the town of Ishwardi, is the most important Mosque in the Pabna district of Bangladesh. This mosque has been built since before the British rule of Bengal. The mosque was constructed in 1500AD by a Sultan called Fateh Ullah Khan who was a descendent of Sultan Sulaiman Khan, the ruler of Bengal at that time. The mosque was later renovated in 1820 and the existing building is almost 250 years old. The main structure of the mosque is in traditional Mughal-style architecture and is made of brick and stone. The mosque can accommodate up to 5000 worshippers at a time and it is considered to be among the largest mosques in Bangladesh. The most important feature of the mosque is its huge mihrab (niche) which is about 11 feet long and 8 feet wide. Other notable features include ornate domes, arches, minarets, etc. There is also a large pond outside the mosque which is used for worshipping activities. The Ishwardi Jame Mosque is a late-Mughal period mosque located in Pabna, Bangladesh. The mosque was built in 1749 by Sayeduddin Mosharraf, an officer of Nawab Murshid Quli Khan. The mosque is a two-storey structure built of brick, which features a Bengali terracotta facade and a single-domed prayer hall. The interior of the mosque consists of four mihrabs, three arches, and a ritual space in the center of the prayer hall. The mosque has a rectangular plan, which is common for Mughal period mosques. The exterior brick walls are decorated with terracotta plaques depicting floral, geometric, and epigraphic designs. The interior is covered in plaster, which features painted floral designs and calligraphic inscriptions. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Visiting Hours:

Ishwardi Jame Mosque is open to visitors every day from early morning until midnight. The Mosque also scheduled opening and closing times during prayer times for each day of the week with Friday prayers being the most observed.
