Architecture:

The architecture of the Gouripur Jame Mosque in Mymensingh, Bangladesh is typical of the Mughal period in Bangladesh. The mosque is composed of a large rectangular room with two side rooms on the front and back. The mosque is constructed mainly from stone and brick, and decorated with plaster and stucco. The central room of the mosque is three bays wide and three bays deep, and is covered by a large semi-dome crowned with lotus blossoms. The walls, pillars and arches of the mosque are decorated with intricate stucco floral patterns and Islamic calligraphy. On the western side of the mosque, there is an imposing three-domed entrance, with its walls and domes covered in stucco patterns and inscriptions. On the sides of the entrance are two minarets, which rise to the height of the central dome. The interior is illuminated by four large pink granite pillars, which are elaborately decorated with floral carvings. The interior of the mosque is also decorated with intricate paintings, depicting scenes from the life of the Prophet Muhammad and stories from the Qur'an. Visiting Hours:

Gouripur Jame Mosque, Mymensingh is open all days of the week from 7 AM to 7 PM for visitors. During Friday Jumma Prayer time, congregation prayers are held at this Mosque from 1 PM to 2 PM, and visitors are not allowed during these times.
