Worship Method:

At the Ram Mandir in Chapainawabganj in Bangladesh, there are daily morning services conducted by the Hindu temple priest and the worship procedure followed is as follows: 1. Upon arrival at the temple, devotees are expected to perform a small ritual of washing their feet with holy water, and then offer a prayer of gratitude for the deity’s grace. 2. Next, flowers are offered in the form of puja on the shrine. The priest then chants verses from Ramayana and other holy scriptures while scattering the holy rice (aksata) around the shrine. 3. After the puja is completed, the priest offers the prasadam (blessed offering) to the deity. This consists of two parts- sweetened rice, fruits and honey which is offered directly to the Lord, and cooked rice, curried vegetables and sprouts, which is then distributed amongst the devotees. 4. After the prasadam is distributed, the devotees can then proceed to make individual prayers to the Lord. 5. The whole ritual is concluded with Arati, which involves the lighting of the dopatta and the singing of hymns and devotional songs in praise of the Lord.
