The Bhawal Rajbari Jame Mosque is a large and imposing building of Indo-Saracenic architecture located in Gazipur district of Bangladesh. The mosque was built during the rule of Nawabs of Dhaka in the middle of the 18th century, at a time when the palaces and mosques of this art style were common. It stands two stories tall and is made of brick and stone. The exposed walls have decorative design elements such as brackets and pillars in contrasting designs. The mosque also features arches, ornamental friezes and plaster of paris reliefs that reflect the then famous Indo-Saracenic style. A unique feature of the mosque is its dome which is built on a half-octagon base and sits atop 8 engaged corner pillars. The interior is divided into several prayer halls and a courtyard.
