Port Baku Mall is a shopping mall in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is the largest mall in Azerbaijan as well as the Caspian Region. Port Baku Mall was opened in November 2016 by the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Construction on the project began in June 2011; however, the project was delayed due to political and economic instability. The mall was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and the total cost of the project was USD 200 million. Port Baku Mall spans a total of 78,000 sq m. and it is located on the shore of the Baku Bay in the city's White City district. It houses more than 200 stores and global brands such as Bershka, Zara, Apple, Starbucks, and Adidas. It also contains an IMAX cinema, a tenpin bowling arena, a food court and VIP areas. Additionally, there are restaurants, entertainment centers, a 3,500 sq m playground, and a fashion deck. Port Baku Mall also features sustainability design such as photovoltaic canopies, rain-harvesting systems, advanced sustainable lighting, and a combined heating and cooling system.
