Heydar Aliyev Palace is a large building complex located in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was built between 1996 and 2005 to commemorate the 75th birthday of the late President Heydar Aliyev. The idea of constructing a complex for Heydar Aliyev was proposed in 1994 by his son Ilham Aliyev, the current president of Azerbaijan.
