Brief History:
The Barda Mosque, also known as the Juma Mosque, is a large historic mosque located in Barda, Azerbaijan. Built in the 18th century, it is thought to be the largest mosque ever built in the country. The mosque is built using predominantly brick and stone, and is said to be one of the most beautiful examples of architecture from the 18th century. The mosque has four large minarets and several smaller ones. It is widely regarded as a fine example of early Azerbaijani architecture. It is one of the most famous mosque in Azerbaijan which you must visit.

The Barda Mosque, also known as the Alinja Mosque, is located in the city of Barda in Azerbaijan. It was built in the 11th century and is an example of prominent Islamic Architecture from the Seljuk Dynasty period. The mosque is built of brick and has a distinct architectural style of its own, with a central dome supported by four columns. The mosque has a prominent entrance hall and in the centre is a prayer hall surrounded by six columns. The interior of the mosque is decorated with impressive and colourful arabesque designs. The mosque has a mihrab pointing in the direction of Mecca and the minbar or prayer niche is decorated with carved wood. There are several inscriptions on the walls of the mosque, in both Arabic and Persian. The mosque also features a number of ornately decorated arches, which are typical of Islamic Architecture from the Seljuk period. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
