The church is an example of Romanesque architecture, with a mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements. The church is noted for its distinct Romanesque frescoes, which are considered some of the finest in the region. The frescoes were painted in the 12th century and depict religious themes and folklore, with some of them portraying local Bavarian legends. History:

The origination of Glanzing Parish Church dates back to the 12th century, when it was first built as part of a Benedictine monastery. The original Romanesque church was destroyed in a fire in the 16th century, but was rebuilt in the late 17th century. The church was again destroyed in World War II.
