Shativank is an Armenian Christian monastery located in the Shirak Province of Armenia. It was founded in the 10th century during the rule of King Ashot III and is dedicated to St. Sarkis. It is believed that the monastery was built on the remains of a pagan temple and served as a place of refuge for Armenian refugees from the northeastern regions of Armenia during the raids of foreign Muslim tribes.
