It is a beautiful example of 12th-century Armenian architecture, built in 1187. It is the earliest known Armenian chapel with a facade resembling a church. The chapel was dedicated to the memory of Saint Grigor Narekatsi, an Armenian monk and theologian, who wrote The Book of Prayers. It is one of the best churches in Armenia which you must visit.
