The Monumento a los Constituyentes (Monument to the Constituents) is a monument located in San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Argentina, dedicated to the citizens of that city who participated in the Constitutional Convention of 1853. It is a reconstruction of the original design by Francisco Tamburini, who was given artistic freedom for its construction. The monument is situated inside a garden surrounded by four-meter walls, and inside the garden there are four marble statues representing the four constitutionalists who wrote the original Constitution of the province of Buenos Aires. The statues are accompanied by bronze busts of Simon de Iriondo, Telesforo de Iriondo, Francisco Tamburini and Carlos Tejedor, who were present in Congress when the Constitution of Argentina was signed in 1853. Monumento a los Constituyentes (San Nicolás de los Arroyos) is a monument located in San Nicolás de los Arroyos, a city of the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. It is the oldest national monument in the country, dating back to 1868. The monument was built to commemorate the delegates of the Argentine Constitution of 1853, the first Argentine constitution. The monument was erected in the Plaza de la Constitución in San Nicolás de los Arroyos.
