, Cathedral Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi is a cathedral in the city of Bariloche, Argentina. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bariloche. The cathedral is located on the north side of the city overlooking the Nahuel Huapi Lake. It is one of the best churches in Argentina which you must visit.

History:

The Cathedral was built in 1939, in the neo-Gothic style on the remains of an earlier chapel built in 1876. The construction was carried out by Italian immigrants to the region. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Argentina.

The Cathedral measures 70 meters in length, and 30 meters in width, with a capacity to hold up to 400 people. The façade is adorned with three portals of carved lintels, flanked by Balcones decorated with European gargoyles and figures of saints. The central nave is divided by ogival arches, and the apse of the structure houses an altar dedicated to the Virgen del Nahuel Huapi (Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi).
